And I think to myself, what a wonderful world.
That is how marijuana feels (for those who have no experience yet).
You look at the sky, see that it's blue, notice the whiteness of some clouds, and think to yourself that it's a wonderful world.
There is no way anyone could appreciate beauty in such everyday occurrences as blue skies and white clouds unless they are high or stoned.
Even the "I think to myself" phrase is typical of a marijuana high, because for most people, being stoned is an introverted experience. Most people talk less, not more, and their verbal skills are reduced. More thoughts become non-verbal, so you think to yourself. And ordinary events can just seem wonderful.
