Some women think that giving a boyfriend or husband as much sex as he could possibly want is an important aspect of their strategy to keep him forever.
So they let him have sex whenever he wants it. And when they do, they try to give him so much that he could not possibly want more. The amateurish logic behind this is the idea that if he gets all the sex he could possibly want from his girlfriend or wife, then he won’t have an appetite for others.
Indeed, if men are caught being sexually unfaithful, and if their regular partner has withheld sex or they have been apart for some time, men may cite as an excuse the fact that when they were in need of sex, their regular partner was unavailable.
But this is merely a convenient excuse that allows them to save face. When men desire sexual contact with women other than their regular partner, it is rarely because their wife or regular partner is unavailable. If the two are related at all, it is often in the opposite manner: men may seek sex with other women because their regular partner provides an overabundance of sex, which can lead to habituation.
Surprised?
Then consider the following: the key factor that keeps a man sexually interested in a woman is that he feels a definite desire for sexual contact with her. But it is difficult to desire what you already have in abundance.
This does not mean that wives and girlfriends should refuse when a husband or boyfriend initiates sex. But they should limit their attempts to seduce their partner to occasions when they themselves desire sexual satisfaction. They should never initiate sex for purely strategic considerations, such as ensuring he won’t have an appetite for other women. This strategy is likely to backfire. The primary risk is that it can cause a man to lose interest faster than he otherwise would.
