In old religions like Hinduism, or the religions of ancient Greece, there are many gods. Huge numbers, occasionally. And there are ghosts. What these gods and ghosts have in common is their human appearance, albeit modified. Ganesha has an elephant trunk, and centaurs have the lower body and four legs of a horse.
But they recognizably mirror human physiques.
Abrahamic religions claim that God created humans, somehow in His image (Genesis 1:27).

He didn’t mean this literally, as he considered gods to be products of fantasy.
But sometimes biologists have a better understanding of the horizons of production than economists do.
Consider evolution and how it accelerates. The progress of agriculture, industrial production, and information technology has accelerated from taking a thousand years, to a century, to a decade, whereas Stone Age progress took hundreds of thousands of millennia.
It took a billion years for life to organize into its most basic forms from self-replicating molecules, and three billion years to progress from single-celled to multicellular organisms. Yet, from realizing that Earth is a planet circling the sun to sending humans to other planets, it took only a few hundred years.
If development and evolution progress at an ever-accelerating speed, it is just a matter of time until humans possess all the attributes of the gods of Hinduism and ancient Greece.
